New Offerings from Jackall
Jackall had many new baits to show this year at ICAST. The most impressive of the bunch was their new I-Motion series. This series of baits consists of both a soft plastic (I Shad) and hard body lure (Seira Minnow 80S) that are used in a similar method and give the same action. The I-Motion technique is a popular technique from Japan where the bait is simply retrieve in a straight line with no action imparted on the bait. The baits are design to track straight in the water, with only tiny movements in the tail of the bait. The intention is to imitate the natural motion of baitfish that are not in distress. This is said to catch bass that feel they are getting an easy meal from unsuspecting prey.
Jackall also introduced 2 new crankbaits - the Soul Shad 68SP and the Bling 55. Both feature a weight transfer system to improve casting distance. The weights are held in place during the retrieve by a strong magnet, but snap free when casting.
