Savage Arms is known for making high-performing guns at an economical price. To that end, Savage has updated their Axis line of rifles with upgrades in fit and feel and performance. The Axis 2 and Axis 2 Pro feature a redesigned ergonomic stock with enhanced features, such as easy-to-hold texturing, along with a pistol grip, a larger triggerguard and a reinforced forend that gives greater stability and rigidity, making this rifle a great candidate to pair up with a bipod.

The rifle comes in OD Green, Grey and FDE and is available in a multitude of calibers to suit any hunting or shooting needs. It can be also had with a wood stock for a bit more cash. MSRP: $489

The Cerekoted action and barrel tackle the elements and complement the new camo patterns available from Savage—Woodland and Western patterns. The rifle is available in full-size, left-handed and compact models in 11 different calibers. MSRP: $599-$639.

The 110 PPR features the proven 110 action that incorporates a lightweight stainless steel receiver and is coated with Magpul OD Green Cerakote, providing excellent durability and corrosion resistance. The fluted bolt is also Cerakoted to reduce friction and sports an upgraded bolt head for assured extracting of spent casings.
The rifle comes standard with a 20-inch Proof Research carbon-fiber-wrapped stainless steel barrel. This barrel gives great accuracy while shaving off some weight for an overall lighter rifle to carry afield. The barrel and action are matched with a Grayboe Phoenix 2 stock painted in earth-toned camo and black web for a lean-and-mean look.
The 110 PPR features an adjustable comb height and length of pull for a better fit to the shooter, the AccuTrigger trigger, a one-piece, low-profile AICS-style mag frame and triggerguard, a 20-MOA one-piece scope rail, flush QD cup adaptors for slings and an M-Lok bottom rail of the forend. MSRP: $2,399

REVEL Classic and REVEL DLX Photo courtesy of Savage Arms For plinkers, new shooters and small-game hunters, the new Savage REVEL Classic and REVEL DLX bring a new perspective to lever-action rimfire rifles. The rifles feature a take-down design for easy storage and transportation. An oversized lever loop provides quick and effortless operation, while the drilled and tapped receiver offers flexibility in optic choices. A walnut stock mates with the aluminum receiver to create a great aesthetic reminiscent of the Old West.

Both rifles are available in .22 LR, .22 WMR and .17 HMR. The Classic can be had at $439, and the MSRP on the DLX is $539—a great steal for budget-conscious shooters and hunters.
For the approximately 10 percent of folks in the U.S. who are left-handed, Savage Arms now offers two of its popular rifle lines—the 110 Trail Hunter and 110 Trail Hunter Lite—for southpaw hunters and shooters. The 110 Trail Hunter debuted in 2023 while the 110 Trail Hunter Lite followed a year later. Both rifles feature Hogue Overmolded rifle stocks that give great performance and ergonomics. The rifles are available in .243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win, .350 Legend, .400 Legend, .270 Win, 30-06 Springfield, 7mm PRC and .300 Win Mag.
News Bite In other news from Savage, the company was one of the first firearms manufacturers to produce a rifle that collaborated with the Federal Premium to introduce the all-new 7mm Backcountry hunting cartridge. Designed for shorter-barreled rifles with suppressors, the new round uses a new, patented Peak Alloy case technology that allows for higher chamber pressures, which gives magnum performance from a non-magnum round. Shot out of a 20-inch barrel with a 170-grain projectile, the round can achieve a muzzle velocity of 3,000 fps.
