Nebraska Game and Parks to Certify Youth Fishing Instructors

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will certify youth fishing instructors in three locations across the state in January. The free, two-hour training is for adults who wish to become volunteers in the Youth Fishing Program.


Certified instructors put on fishing programs, derbies or club activities for youth and families during the year. The certification schedule:

  • Jan. 10, Alliance, Box Butte County Extension Office, 415 Black Hills Ave., 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 13, Fullerton, First National Bank Community Room, 230 Broadway St., 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 22, Denton, Spring Creek Prairie Audubon, 11700 Southwest 100th St., 1 p.m.
