Nash Victorious On Pickwick Lake

Scott Nash from Muscle Shoals, AL is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a first place win and $264 in an ABA tournament held on Pickwick Lake this past weekend. Nash's five-bass limit weighed in at 12.2 pounds.

Second place went to Austin Weaver with a weight of 11.38 pounds, while Andy Poss took third with 10.59 pounds. Big bass was awarded Austin Weaver for catching a 4.08-pound largemouth bass.

These anglers are acquiring valuable points towards a berth in the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall. Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.

The top five anglers after the Pickwinck Lake tournament were:

  1. Scott Nash 12.20 lb
  2. Austin Weaver 11.38 lb
  3. Andy Poss 10.59 lb
  4. Darrin McCullar 10.55 lb
  5. Allen Peters 8.86 lb
  6. Darrell Miller 5.97 lb

Winning Strategy: Square Bill Crankbaits, Alabama Rig, Jigs, and Carolina Rigs all caught fish.

Next Divisional Tournament: This division's next tournament will be at Pickwick Lake on May 27 at McFarland Park.
