Moultrie Mobile App Delivers New Predictive Analytics on Deer Activity

Moultrie Mobile, makers of industry-leading cellular trail cameras, has launched several new features to its hunting app, including the ability to forecast local deer movement and improve hunt planning.

Moultrie Mobile, makers of the popular Edge and Edge Pro cell cams, put two years of development and fine-tuning into the app additions.

Utilizing new and proprietary technology, the "Game Plan" tool helps hunters plan when to hunt based on local deer movement forecasts.

"For the past two years, our team has built and honed Game Plan to provide a better way for hunters to plan their trips to the field," Moultrie Mobile GM Daniel Wilson said in a news release. "This was simply our next step as we provide hunters with unparalleled tools for hunt planning."

Additionally, new mapping tools bring property and topo lines to the Moultrie Mobile App, and Moultrie Mobile’s camera-sharing feature makes it easier than ever to share the hunt with friends.

An innovation in the trail-camera industry, Game Plan is powered by machine learning and an analysis of deer movement data. Game Plan generates a 9-day local deer movement forecast based on historical patterns, the most recent movement trends and an up-to-the-minute weather outlook for any hunting location. As a result, Game Plan is unlike other prediction tools that are built on static historical data sets, anecdotal observations of deer behavior, general weather patterns, or studies of captive or collared deer in other geographies.

Moultrie Mobile customers can also take advantage of new mapping features. The Moultrie Mobile App now includes topographic lines, property lines with plat info overlays, and more than 75 map pin icons with customizable colors. With these new additions, customers can completely map out their hunting property and create the ultimate Game Plan for their next hunt.

Finally, Moultrie Mobile’s new camera-sharing feature allows users to share specific cameras with their hunting buddies. Camera sharing is the perfect solution for hunt camp and leaseholders, granting read-only access to everyone without sharing login information. Game Plan, Camera Sharing and the Property Line overlay are available to all Moultrie Mobile users with at least one Unlimited or Pro Plan subscription.
