King Kat Trail Comes To Lake Tawakoni


The Cabela?s King Kat tournament trail will hit the waters of Lake Tawakoni at West Tawakoni, Texas March 5, 2011. This is the opportunity for local catfish anglers to compete for cash, prizes and a chance to advance to the Cabela?s King Kat Classic to be held on the Mississippi River at Burlington, Iowa October 27-28-29, 2011.

Anglers will fish for one day only, from 6:30 AM until 3:00 PM, shooting for a 5-fish limit per team. All competitors must then be in weigh-in line by 4:00 PM. The weigh-in will be held at West Tawakoni City Park.

Registration will be held Friday night March 4th at the Chamber of Commerce, 100 West Hwy 276, Quinlan, Texas from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with the Captains meeting to begin at 7:00pm. Teams will consist of one or two persons with one exception: a third person may accompany the team provided the third person is under 16 years of age or over 65 years of age. Entry fees for these qualifier tournaments are $200.00 per team. Late registration will be $225.00.
