King Kat and Gateway Catfishing Club Presents The 2010 Gateway Classic

#Coming up next weekend the Cabela's King Kat Tournament Trail in Conjunction with the Gateway Catfish Club will hit the waters of the Mississippi River at Crystal City, Missouri for the Gateway Classic on August 14, 2010.This is the opportunity for local catfish anglers to compete for cash, prizes and a chance to advance to the Cabela's King Kat Classic to be held on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway at Columbus, Mississippi.Teams will consist of one or two persons with one exception. A third person may accompany the team provided the third person is under 16 years of age or over 65 years of age. Entry fees for this tournament will be $200.00 per team. This is not a guaranteed payback event. A $25.00 late fee will apply to entries received less than 15 days prior to the event.

Weigh-In Site

The tournament weigh-in will be held at the Plattin Rock Boat Club. Tournament hours are 6:30 AM until 3:00 PM. All anglers must be in weigh-in line by 4:00 PM with a 5 fish limit per team. To help preserve the sport only live fish will be weighed in and all fish will be released after the tournament. Registration Site

Participants may enter by mail or at the late registration to be held Friday night at the Plattin Rock Boat Club, from 5:00-7:00pm or at the mandatory meeting at 5:30am tournament morning at the weigh-in site. Deadline for mail in entries is 15 days prior to the event. All entries after that date will pay a $25.00 late fee. The top 20 teams at each qualifying event will qualify for the Cabela's King Kat Classic. Also at each qualifying event field test products from national sponsors will be drawn for following the tournament weigh-in.
