We were fishing a neighborhood pond in Jenks, Oklahoma, Wakefield Ponds addition.
Derek was throwing a 4-inch Yamamoto Senko and told me, "Hey Dad think I have a big one."
He fought it to the bank and I lipped it and brought it up and we both gasped — 8.5 pounds later, he tossed it back and said "that was heavy."

We were at the pond every available evening for the next few months as per his request. He is hooked for life! He was 7 years old when he landed this fish.

Nathan's Person Best Perch (Camera Corner reader submission)
By Nathan Michael Egan
I was ice fishing on Lake St. Catherine in Vermont, and the day was almost over, I was set up in 30 foot of water, and this tip up was the last one I had to pick up.
I bent down to grab the tip up, and it takes off spinning. After catching the fish, it turned out to be a 14.5-inch perch that weighed 1.59 pounds.

Meg's monster rainbow (Camera Corner reader submission)
By Meg's Mom
This is a photo of my 6-year-old daughter Meg after catching a +24-inch rainbow trout using marshmallow and worms in Skaneateles Lake. Her rod and reel combo was only just longer than the fish. In all the excitement we forgot to weigh it.

Grady's monster bass (Camera Corner reader submission)
By Grady's Grandpa
Grady was bored with just catching bluegills using worms. He wanted to try to catch bigger fish so his grandpa rigged Grady's pole with a tube jig and Grady hooked into this big bass immediately.
