Kevin Hawk Leads Day 1

The first day of the 2010 Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Lanier has concluded. Kevin Hawk of Ramona, CA, finished in the lead with five fish weighing in at 14lbs 12oz. Hawk fished the 2010 FLW Tour as a co-angler, and qualified through the FLW Series National Guard Western Division.

(Photo by Brett Carlson)The last of the top five pros included JT Kenny with 14lbs 6oz, Cody Meyer with 14lbs 3oz, and Ott Defoe with 13lbs 10oz. Defoe fished the event in a small aluminum boat that allowed him to get to areas that other anglers couldn't reach.

JR Wright leads the co-angler division by 3lbs with a five fish limit of 12lbs 5oz.
