My name is Chris (AKA WalleyeWonder), I am from Belleville, Ontario. Fishing was instilled in me by my father at a very young age. Although he was not a professional by any means, he loved spending time with me on the water. Well I am now 26 and have 2 kids of my own, I recently made the move from Toronto to Belleville in search of a happier existence. I found it!!, the fishing here is amazing all year and there are a multitude of species present. I have quickly also learned why it is called the Walleye capitol of North America. In less than one year I have landed well over 200 Walleye, some well over ten pounds. The real kicker is I have caught 85% of these fish from shore around the city. This was my third year ice fishing and let me tell you, living here it was not disappointing. This has been my first successful ice season yet, with personal bests being shattered and many new friends met along the way. I hope to share some great stories and experiences with all of you in our great brother ( and sister :) hood of anglers. I will be competing in the 2011 Kiwanis Walleye World tournament, May7th 2011. I will have some video footage of the tournament which is said to be the biggest Walleye tournament in North America.
That's all for now
