Can you say Hook, Line and Porker? Because we're going to scratch both the hunting and fishing itch this week on The Revolution with Jim and Trav presented by Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network, by embarking on fun-filled, action-packed, combination hog hunting and fishing trips that won't break the bank and everyone will enjoy. We'll explore the thrills of sniping hogs from helicopters to up close and personal with a semi-auto AR style rifle topped with a night vision or thermal scope. Then we'll switch gears and seek out nearby inshore fishing trips to target redfish, trout, tarpon, shark, grouper and cobia, and how the whole family would get a kick out of bowfishing for a multitude of different species. You don't want the miss this week’s broadcast of The Revolution with Jim and Trav and your family's chance to have an epic outdoor adventure this summer.

Drop Zone is a fast-paced, hard hunting television show hosted by NASCAR Champion Crew Chief Greg Zipadelli and hunting industry veteran Hal Shaffer. This week Hal joins The Revolution to talk wild hog hunting. Many hunters consider summer to be the off-season, but it doesn’t have to be. Hal says in lieu of shooting targets, wild hogs should be your focus.  Summer is a great time to get out and tune up for whitetail hunting with the added bonus of putting meat in the freezer. He’ll discuss the benefits of eating wild hog and why it not only tastes better but is actually better for you than commercially raised hogs, and how barbecuing a hog the “Hal Shaffer 5-Spice Hog BBQ” way makes it irresistible. Hal then dives into many reasons why it’s not only fun, but important to hunt this invasive species. While his math may be a little sketchy the facts are clear, wild hogs reproduce at incredible rates and are capable of producing 48 new pigs per sow each year. Hunting this invasive species is not only fun, it prolongs your hunting season, and it’s great for conservation. Hal will end with a teaser for an upcoming episode of Drop Zone where he and Greg go on their most treacherous hunt to date in chase of wild hogs. You won’t want to miss his interview or the upcoming season of Drop Zone. Tune in.

Jeff Thomason is the host of Predator Pursuit on Sportsman Channel. Jeff takes viewers on a ride each week chasing predators all over the world, while at the same time educating his audience and teaching them different tactics to become more successful predator hunters as well. This week he turns his attention to feral hogs. Jeff says that feral hogs are big problem but an opportunity as well. Feral hogs cause millions of dollars in property damage each year and because of their destructive nature land owners are eager to have them removed, this is where opportunity comes knocking at the door. Jeff says hunters have a variety of options for pursuing hogs, from spot and stalk to night vision hunts, dogs and traps, to feeders and helicopters the options are virtually endless. Jeff says that everyone should try helicopter hunting at least once. While it may cost more, it’s an unforgettable action packed experience that you won’t regret. In addition, the meat that you take can be donated to different organizations to help feed families in need. When it comes to gear, Jeff explains why he shoots with a suppressor, how the noise reduction for him is important and why once you start there is no going back. Finally, he’ll offer up some expert advice to rookie hog hunters: don’t underestimate their intelligence and play the wind. Get the full scoop by listening this week.

The FireDisc is a revolutionary design in outdoor grilling and co-creator Griff Jaggard joins Jim and Trav to talk about its capabilities. Griff will talk about the concept for the FireDisc and how they transformed and engineered a plow disc into a high tech portable gas grill. The possibilities are endless when it comes to what you can cook on the FireDisc. It’s unique design provides different heat zones within the FireDisc. The center ring can reach up to 600 degrees and provide you the heat needed to nicely sear a steak. Meanwhile, moving up the surface the middle ring heats to around 400 degrees and the outer ring stays at a nice 200 degrees. These different heat zones allow you cook different components of your meal and when one part if finished it can be moved to a lower heat zone to stay warm while the rest of your food cooks. In addition to making great food, the FireDisc is also made of high quality products like ultra high carbon steel as well as powder coating and paint that can withstand high temperatures and resist damage. The design has made this grill very sturdy and virtually indestructible and capable of lasting a lifetime, and that makes the investment worthwhile. Find out more about the FireDisc and how you can get a Father’s Day discount, listen now!

Legendary Kansas Cat-Man, CatDaddy, is back out on the water with all poles a blazin' and he's targeting monster blue cats in high water with whole shad. He says that now is the time for explosive hookups and that if an angler plays his or her cards right, they could easily be headed home by day’s end with a forty or fifty pounder in tow.  Furthermore, CatDaddy claims that the magic is all in the presentation and that if your bait fish isn't rigged up right, hooked in the head with punctures in its eyes and sides which ultimately triggers a catfish's natural instincts to strike, you're completely missing the boat. He'll also give an updated status on where the “Bean Hole” is at and why soaking soy beans in water and rancid blood for weeks on end could be a real game changer in your summer fishing season. CatDaddy also expresses his concerns for any angler that's tough enough to brave these current scorching temps and he strongly encourages all would be fishermen and women to hit the water before first light and to pack lots of water and sunscreen.
