Have I been affected by the Gulf Coast Oil Spill?

Leading out of the spring-fed, freshwater Weeki Wachee River on Florida's central west coast this past Saturday, brother Mike, his wife Lyn, my wife Lori and I, got a chance to go out and do some fantastic saltwater fishing. The water in the river was clear, cold and as pristine as I have ever seen it.

We had a great time, caught a nice mess of fish, and saw no evidence of the Deep Water Horizon oil catastrophe now looming off shore. With the 2010 hurricane season upon us now, I shutter to think of what will happen, should (or I should say WHEN) a hurricane makes it's way into the Gulf. God only knows where all that mess will end up. But for now, the central Florida gulf coast is absolutely beautiful.
