Derek Snider of McDonough was fishing at Lake Varner in October of 2002 when this 9.6-pound largemouth bass struck a jig.

Pete Nagel was only 9 years old when he downed this 8-point white-tailed deer, which weighed 160 pounds. The Metter youngster made the kill on Nov. 12, 2002.
