Typically, one of the biggest barriers to entry for forward-facing sonar is its cost.
No question, you can drop a chunk of change on this tech if tournament competition and/or guiding pays your bills. However, that’s not the case for much of the angling public, so it’s difficult to justify the expense.
Thankfully, Lowrance has brought the newest technology to the masses with the new budget-friendly Eagle Eye 9 Live , an ideal entry-level package that bundles a lot of functionality within its $999 price tag.
Users will enjoy the same live sonar resolution that Lowrance builds into its top-tier ActiveTarget 2 units. Additionally, the Eagle Eye 9 Live’s transducer supports popular Lowrance technologies, including Focused Forward and Down live sonar views, CHIRP sonar and FishReveal DownScan. The Eagle Eye 9 Live also includes detailed C-MAP charting on a tack-sharp IPS display.
