Food Plots: Turn the Soil and More
Firminator G3

(From Source Outdoor Group) Building food plots is a very popular and effective way of improving habitat to attract and hold more wildlife on your property, but would-be enthusiasts can quickly become discouraged when they realize all the equipment required to turn the soil, spread the seed, then compact the soil.

Ranew's Outdoor Equipment has made the process a whole lot more efficient and economical by putting all the necessary equipment into one implement - the Firminator G3.

The first step in food plot planting typically involves turning the soil. A wide range of angle and pitch adjustments on the Firminator’s heavy, 18-inch, notched 9-gauge steel disks allows you to work the soil in a variety of conditions and situations.

Speaking of seeding, the Firminator’s built-in Accu-Seed System handles seeds of all sizes, from the tiniest clovers up to corn, soybeans, peas, and sunflowers. Because the system is ground-driven, seed is metered out relative to your speed so it stops falling when the Firminator stops rolling. This eliminates bare patches from under-seeding as well as wasteful over-seeding. There’s also an optional seed hopper agitator available for keeping seed blends thoroughly mixed and preventing small seeds from sifting through the mix too quickly.

Compacting soil is sometimes glossed over or even ignored altogether, but it is an important step to improving seed-to-soil contact and thus, germination rates. The Firminator’s disk blades can be adjusted up and out of the way, allowing the built-in cultipacker to roll on the soil with additional frame weight being transferred to it for optimum soil compaction.

The Firminator G3 food plot implement is available in 4', 5', 6' and 8' models for three point hitch tractors. Hook up the Firminator to one piece of equipment to do all your food plot tillage, planting, and culti-packing.
