- 2 pounds potatoes
- 1 pound bacon
- 2 large onions
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 2 small cans tomato paste
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- Worcestershire sauce, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 sticks real butter
- 4 pounds flounder fillet (salmon may be substituted)
Chop bacon meat into small pieces and brown on stove in large pot.
Mince onions and add to browning meats. Sauté onions until done. Dice potatoes and add to onions and meat. Add enough water to make a sauce. Bring to a slow boil. Add Worcestershire sauce to taste. Add tomatoes to mixture then add tomato paste and tomato juice to form a basic stock. Keep at slow boil and add fish fillet. Cook until fish is done. Add 1 to 2 sticks of butter just before serving.
Serve with rice, corn bread and slaw.
