OutdoorChannel.com stopped at the booth for Buck Knives and had the opportunity to speak with C.J. Buck, President and CEO of Buck Knives. Based in Idaho, Buck Knives is a 4th-Generation family business, doing business since 1902. When asked about their new products for 2010, here are a few highlights.

Paklite Skinner

The first knife he highlighted was the Paklite Skinner, part of their Paklite Series. These knives are tough enough to perform when you need them most, but are also super lightweight so you'll hardly know that it is even in your hunting pack. The knife is basically a skeletal version of a typical knife, comprised of nothing more than metal. The Paklite Skinner is a great skinning blade with grip tensions so the knife won't slip around in your hands while your quartering out your trophy. The Paklite Skinner is lightweight, resistant to corrosion, easy to pack, easy to carry, and a very usable pack knife that won't slip around in your hands.

Silver Creek Folding Fillet Knife

The next knife we looked at was the Silver Creek Folding Fillet Knife. This knife is very strong since it is made of steel, but the knife is also very flexible, giving you the bend you need when filleting out fish. The blade is titanium coated and corrosion resistant. The rubberized handle gives you the tight grip you need when you're filleting the fish. This is a folding knife, which would fit great into your fishing pack. The blade is very flexible which allows you to get the perfect angle on the fish so you can get a great fillet cut. The blade locks back into place, so you don't have to worry about a loose blade. So along with their hunting series of knives, Buck has also created some great fishing products as well.
