An Affordable, Reliable, Invisible-to-Wild-Game Trail Camera
The Moultrie A-7i trail camera.

The Moultrie A-7i is a feature-packed trail camera that's easy to set up and easy on the wallet

When it comes to scouting for deer, a trail camera is an invaluable tool. It acts as your eyes when you’re not there, providing important information about your deer herd and other animals frequenting the area. With that information in hand, hunting success odds are increased.

To get the type of game camera images most beneficial to your hunt and management goals, images need to be of deer going about their natural routines. A trail camera’s flash can spook the deer and interrupt their routines, making them more difficult to hunt.

For this reason, a low-profile camera that doesn’t distract or scare the wildlife is most beneficial. Moultrie’s flash-less entry-level camera, the A-7i provides undetectable, flash-free scouting at a cost-friendly price, making it good option for landowners wanting to set up several cameras on a property.

This affordable camera can be utilized in any scouting situation without alerting prey thanks to black IR LEDs for imperceptible flash operation. The camera’s 36 infrared LEDs sport iNVISIBLE technology, which employs a passive infrared motion sensor triggered by heat and movement. This enables the camera to take nighttime photos out to 50 feet without a visible flash.

With no burst of light coming from the camera, deer are none the wiser. Even the most seasoned or skittish deer will remain at ease. Since mature bucks are usually very wary, the imperceptible flash will help get more images of deer and what they are doing without distractions.

These cameras are easy to use. The delay can be set at 10 seconds, 30 seconds, one minute or five minutes with just the flip of a switch.

Moultrie A-7i trail camera

The A-7i is built on the platform of Moultrie’s best-selling A-5 game camera and is the lowest-priced, iNVISIBLE flash camera in the Moultrie family. The low price comes in handy for hunters who want to set up several cameras in high-traffic areas throughout their property, or for or those who are simply watching their wallets. With suggested retail price of just $99, the A-7i provides a ton of great features for the impressively low price.

With the rugged new look of the entire Moultrie lineup, the A-7i includes a functional LED array design for better break up and concealment in the woods and improvements in weather resistance and reliability. The rugged case design seals off the all of the camera’s critical components from the controls, protecting them from all that Mother Nature can dish out.

Moultrie A-7i features include reduced detection delay time – as low as 10 seconds – for optimal image capture and three-image multi-shot capability that ensures that perfect shot. The fast trigger speed makes capturing up to 16,000 images on one set of batteries quick and easy. This camera resets rapidly after image capture, taking less than 1.5 seconds after motion trigger until the camera is fully ready to detect motion and capture field intelligence.

Like the updated A-5, the A-7i operates on AA batteries with long-lasting life in the field. It is also compatible with Moutlrie’s 12-volt external power source to extend life.

If you know where they are, where they’ve been and where they’re headed next, you’re much more likely to tag that prize buck. The A-7i provides hunters with the time, confidence and information they need to make their hunt a success—all at an affordable price.
