Morels are commonly found by American elm trees and you will find white, yellow and black morels depending on the time you go hunting. You can also find these by sycamore, ash, apple trees, cottonwood and white pine.
Fried morels are a favorite! You may fry them in two different ways. One is rolling in flour only and frying – the second is using an egg wash. We’ve listed both recipes for you below, along with some other ways to prepare this fantastic fungi.
