2016 Spring Gobblers on The Revolution with Jim & Trav
Featured Guests: Matt Morrett, Michael Waddell
We're camo clad and ready to put a beat down on Spring Gobblers this week on The Revolution with Jim and Trav presented by Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network. From turkey calling techniques, to new gear and surefire tactics for killing toms all around the clock, The Revolution will leave no stone unturned.
Kicking off our turkey charge will be Matt Morrett of Avian-X seen Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. ET on Sportsman Channel. Matt is undeniably one of the best turkey callers to ever breathe and his knowledge in the turkey woods is unsurpassed and even considered unconventional by some standards. Matt landed his first turkey calling contest win at the age of eight and was a mere sixteen years old when he scored his first World Turkey Calling Championship. Matt explains why he doesn't think of it as calling the turkey, but rather having a conversation with it. He suggests that hunters learn to not only be able to talk the turkey talk, but to understand their tones and emotions, as well. Matt equates it to talking with your wife or girlfriend and that each turkey, just as humans, are their own individual and that every day has its own emotional challenges. So, Matt will step-by-step layout his spring assault plan for whacking big ol' gobblers and more importantly, he's phoning in to make sure that your turkey game is up to snuff.
In an exclusive four-part series, Michael Waddell of Michael Waddell’s Bone Collector, Sundays at 10:30 p.m. ET and Realtree Road Trips with Michael Waddell on Outdoor Channel, will perhaps give the most candid interview of his career. Michael will first stay true to his core and serve up piping hot, tried-and-true, methods for invoking capital punishment on long beards, and he'll also dish on his new partnership with Knight & Hale Game Calls. He'll discuss how for decades Harold and David have passionately dedicated their lives to simplifying turkey calls and providing fellow hunters with the latest, groundbreaking, innovations in game calls. Then, we'll turn the spotlight to Michael Waddell, his rise to fame, and how he's conceivably the most loved and disliked man in outdoor television. Michael and his fellow band of brothers, week after week, show their viewers a detailed account of their lives and adventures as outdoorsmen as they tirelessly pursue their ultimate objective - to ignite a new generation of American hunters. Furthermore, Michael breaks the silence and is brutally honest about unsubstantiated rumors, how he detests machoism, cliques, and derogatory labeling of any means of hunting that breeds negative stereotypes. If you aren't a fan of Michael Waddell it's because you foolishly chose to not give him a chance and sequentially your robbing yourself of a good time, great advice and award winning programming.
