Rage sprang onto the scene three years ago with two broadheads that open from the back forward. In other words, on impact the blades sweep forward from their stowed, in-flight position partially contained in the ferrule to their fully deployed position.

The word on Rage heads is that they produce a huge entry hole and short blood trails. The 2 Blade version has a 3/4-inch-wide blade profile in flight and opens to 2 inches on impact. It has .035-inch-thick primary blades and a small cutting blade at the tip. The 3 Blade version opens to 1 1/2 inches wide and has .030-inch-thick blades. Both models weigh 100 grains.
