Bowtech has three new bows for 2008, one of which is the 101st Airborne. It’s a very good bow with a conventional limb style (not Center Pivot) and a lower brace height for better performance. It’s also a bit longer than many of the bows on the market now, making it more stable during the shot.
The 101st Airborne carries the Binary Cam System, which is a balanced modified hybrid cam where each cam is tied to the other to eliminate the effects of harness stretch. The Binary Cam will accept two different module sets. With the Speed Mods, the 101st Airborne will produce an IBO speed rating of 332 to 340 fps. With the Smooth Mods, it “tones down” to 320-328 fps. The bow has a 7 1/4-inch brace height and a 36 1/4-inch length. Suggested retail is $779.
