Savage Arms’ new modern sporting rifle, the MSR 15 Valkyrie, was built to squeeze maximum performance from the hottest new round in long-range shooting.
Savage Arms introduced a new rifle Friday with the unveiling of the MSR 15 Valkyrie.
The new rifle, which chambered with the all-new 224 Valkyrie cartridge, “delivers supersonic velocities [up to] 1,300 yards, extremely flat trajectories and match accuracy. Plus it produces only half the recoil of larger cartridges needed to achieve comparable trajectories,” according to a news release.
The Valkyrie has an 18-inch barrel, with 5R rifling and a two-stage trigger.
The 224 cartridge, pioneered by Federal Premium Ammunition, is said to offer the “best ballistics of any MSR 15 caliber,” the company said.
