If you're an angler, you know that detailed fishing maps can be powerful tools for finding fish and negotiating water hazards. But what if things have changed since you bought your map?
Now, Navionics is not only providing regularly updated lake maps and marine charts for mobile users, but is even allowing anglers to edit their own charts and see new details provided by other anglers via User Generated Content (UGC.)
With the addition of UGC, Navionics has given its users the ability to view updated electronic maps that provide corrections, new information and extra details for thousands of locations. In fact, users have added over 200,000 edits in just the past year, including details about buoy changes, sand bar shifts, newly discovered rocks, docks and bottom structure. Navionics is the only company to distribute cartography updates on a daily basis.

Navionics continues to expand its vast library of lake maps, adding more than 3,000 lakes to its cartography suite. Users can access map content for over 17,000 lakes in North America, including 1,200 maps in HD. The digital maps utilize satellite imagery, airborne lasers and other sources to reveal boat ramps, hot spots, road beds, brush piles and much more.
