ICAST 2018: What Caught Our Attention at Fishing’s Biggest Show

by Game & Fish Online Staff   |  July 19th, 2018 0

ICAST 2018 (the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades annual show) in Orlando has come and gone, but it’ll make a lasting impression on American anglers.

The 61st ICAST, held July 11-13 on 220,000 square feet of floor space in the Orange County Convention Center, showcase the newest and best gear the sportfishing world has to offer — from hooks, lines and sinkers to high-tech electronics.

Game & Fish’s Dr. Todd Kuhn took to the floor to capture some of what intrigued him most at the big show:

A3 Anglers Multi Rig

Here’s an update to the popular multi-hooked Alabama rig.

Pelican Catch HyDryve

Packed with features, this slick craft also comes in at an affordable price.

Animated Lure

It was hard not to stop to see the propeller-fitted baitfish imitation. It swims by itself.

LiT Coolers

Ultra-cool product is even cooler with a light that you can read by.

Bullet’s Punch Weight

It’s a five-second process to change baits with this new design.

St. Croix’s Legend Glass Spinning Rod

This fiberglass gem excels with light crankbaits and jerkbaits.

Cobra Garage Door Storage Solutions

If you’re running out of space to store your fishing poles, maybe here’s your answer.

Abu Garcia Reels

Kuhn chatted with Abu’s Andrew Wheeler about some of their new reels. Check out the three videos below
