Trent PerryThe brand new Utah state record tiger trout has been confirmed, and it beat the old record by almost five pounds.

According to The Salt Lake Tribune, Trent Perry of Santaquin, Utah, caught a 15-pound, .16-ounce tiger trout on Feb. 16 at Scofield Reservoir. On Tuesday, officials at the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources officially recognized Perry’s tiger as the new state record.

The fish, which measured 32 1/4 inches long with a 20-inch girth, shatters the previous record set by Michael Moon in 2007, whose trout measured 29 1/2 inches long with a girth of 17 1/8 inches and weighing 10 pounds, 12 ounces.

Officials say Perry caught another large tiger measuring 25 inches on the same day.
