Lake of the Ozarks events offers prize money for big bass caught by local anglers.
Midwest Fish Tournaments offers anglers a chance to win thousands of dollars by fishing in two Big Bass Bash events at Lake of the Ozarks.
The Big Bass Bash is designed for amateur anglers only, to give them a chance to win big money just like the pros.

Anglers only weigh in their biggest catch during bi-hourly time slots for a chance to win the grand prize or one of the other three biggest bass awards of the weekend.
Prize money also is paid to anglers weighing in the Top 35 bass during each time slot. The grand prize for last year's spring and fall Big Bass Bash events was $70,000 for each tournament.
The grand prize winners of the spring and fall Lake of the Ozarks Big Bass Bash in the last three years were the following:
Spring 2015, Justin Swast, 7.56 pounds; Fall 2015, Jon Hertzler, 6.88 pounds; Spring 2016, Jesse Waters, 7.56 pounds; Fall 2016, Kenny Malone, 7.16 pounds; Spring 2017, Bob Neuman, 6.95 pounds; and Fall 2017, Jon Jones, 6.36 pounds.
