Wild and Funny Ice Fishing Videos

Ice fishing is just as much a passion for people as it is a deterrent for others. After all, it takes a special kind of quality to actually head out on frozen water and bear that winter cold while actually enjoying it.

So if you think ice fishing isn't already crazy enough, here are a few ice fishing videos that show just how wild, funny, and dangerous ice fishing can really be.

Crazy Canadians

Video starts off normal enough, discussing the fishing and whereabouts of fellow anglers, but then those crazy Canadians come up through the hole like it's no big deal at all. Incredible that the two polar swimmers never flinch from the cold, making it even more of a classic.

Drilling Huge Ice Hole in Northern Canada

Two Nunavut anglers finish drilling a hole and begin pulling up the auger ? and like that magic trick with those endless colored handkerchiefs being pulled out of a sleeve, they keep pulling up and up before the huge auger finally clears the ice. Makes you appreciate the much thinner ice down in the warmer areas of North America!

School of Carp

A massive school of big carp seen through the ice. The guy holding the camera is understandably excited with the sight.

Ice Fishing Cat

A frustrated cat tries to catch some fish it sees through the ice. Its meows of confusion only add to the hilarity.

Runaway Ice Tent

Three anglers are in the process of putting up an ice tent before the wind grabs hold of it. Gotta get those anchors down fast!

Vehicles Fall Through Thin Ice

There are many clips of vehicles that have fallen through the ice, but this one is unique for just how many are involved.

Always be sure the ice is safe enough before heading out on foot or with a vehicle. Ice needs to be at least 12 inches thick before you can drive a pickup truck over it.
