WFN Offers Anglers 10 Reasons to Stay Inside This Winter

As the weather gets colder, WFN: World Fishing Network, North America's only 24/7 fishing network, is giving anglers 10 more reasons to stay indoors this winter. In January and February, WFN will present all-new seasons of 10 informative and entertaining fishing shows, including three WFN original productions.

Here's a look at the 10 shows joining the WFN program line-up this winter.

Lost Lake (Mondays @ 9:00 pm ET) - WFN Original (10 episodes begin Jan. 31)

Lost Lake takes the top pro anglers in the world and drops them into unfamiliar and sometimes unchartered territory. They have one day to break down the lake, and catch fish. Can they do it? Or will they end up empty-handed? Only available on and exclusive to WFN.

Getting School'd with JP DeRose (Wednesdays @ 7:30 pm ET) - WFN Original (13 episodes begin Feb. 2)

JP DeRose is your guide to the latest fishing rods, reels, lures, and accessories on the market, including personal recommendations from seasoned pros. JP takes products on the water, showing viewers specific techniques to enhance their next fishing experience. With detailed descriptions of each product, it's the most informative gear show on TV. The Lodge (Fridays @ 7:00 pm ET) - WFN Original (10 episodes begin Feb. 18)

Back for its second season, The Lodge is a WFN original reality series featuring the unique personalities that make up the Queen Charlotte Lodge (QCL). It follows the day-to-day events at a fishing lodge in a remote location, and highlights all the drama as friends are made, hearts are broken and business is not always as usual. Kayak Fishing TV (Mondays @ 10:30 pm ET)

Follow host Jim Sammons on a genuine kayak fishing adventure from the wild coast of Alaska to the tropical waters of Panama. Only available on and exclusive to WFN.

Real Fishing 2011 (Tuesdays @ 6:30 pm ET)

For 25 years Real Fishing host Bob Izumi has been a Canadian fishing icon. His unparalleled tournament fishing career and approachable, guy-next-door demeanor have endeared him to loyal fans from all across Canada. WFN will now present Canada's favorite fishing show in the U.S. Exclusive to WFN in the US.

Simply Fishing 2011 (Wednesdays @ 4:00 pm ET)

Hosted by Bob Mehsikomer, Simply Fishing is a totally authentic, action-packed, trophy fishing series. Episodes feature in-your-face action with northern pike, lake trout, muskies, smallmouth and other trophy species. It also teaches conservation with correct fishing, fish handling, and release methods to ensure healthy release of adult fish for future anglers to enjoy. Only available on and exclusive to WFN.

Facts of Fishing Season 4 (Wednesdays @ 7:00 pm ET)

Each week viewers get to follow the off-the-wall antics of professional angler Dave Mercer. The unique thing is that every episode is shot in one day. Whether Dave's a hero or a zero, viewers see everything that happens on the water. Exclusive to WFN in the US.

The Next Bite Season 7 (Fridays @ 8:30 pm ET)

The Next Bite is about Big Fish ... Mean Fish ... Fish with Teeth! It covers all aspects of Big Fish (muskie, walleye and pike) angling opportunities, not only showing the catch, but also the tackle and techniques involved, making the show both exciting and educational.

Musky Hunter Season 5 (Fridays @ 9:00 pm ET)

Jim Saric, host of Musky Hunter, reeled in what is believed to be the largest musky ever caught for a television show in the first episode of Season 5.

The first television show ever dedicated solely to the hard-to-catch musky. It covers everything from the basics of catching muskies to strategies and secret tips for fishermen who have been chasing the fish for years. Only available on and exclusive to WFN.

Big Bass Battle (Fridays @ 9:30 pm ET)

Four pro anglers; Mark Pack, Gary Dobyns, Cody Robertson and Justin Rackley, take on a lake to see who'll catch the biggest bass.

From Monday-Saturday, WFN theme nights present a two-hour block of themed programming dedicated to all aspects of the pastime, airing nightly, 8:00 pm -10:00 pm. ET. The six "WFN Theme Nights" are: Big Bass Monday; Fly Fishing Tuesday; Offshore Wednesday; Inshore Thursday; Freshwater Friday; and World Fishing Saturday.
