Week 3 Report - November 2011
Offshore, Kingfish, spanish mackerel and some cobia were in 80-130 feet. Dorado and an ocassional wahoo or blackfin tuna were hitting naked and skirted ballyhoo in 120-600 feet, with the best bite on the edge. The sailfish is starting to heat up in 100-200 feet. On the reefs and wrecks yellowtail, mangroves and mutton snapper, grouper, mackerels and some brown clowns were in the mix.
Near shore, along the beach and on the piers, spanish and cero mackerels, bluefish, blue runners, and pompano were biting well. In the ICW and inlets, snook are still can be found around bridges and docks.
If your heading out, keep an eye on the weather and be prepared to adjust to changing situations.
