Week 2 Report - January 2012

Offshore, kingfish were in 90 ? 140 feet. The sailfish bite has been fairly consistent. Some BFT?s were hitting bare and skirted ballyhoo on the troll, between 180- 220 feet. Larger Kingfish and some big dorado were out past 10 miles. On the reefs and wrecks, yellow tail, kingfish, BFT?s and grouper are biting. Grouper must be vented and released.

Inshore, along the beaches pompano and cobia were there, on the piers Spanish mackerel, blue runners, snappers were in the mix and snook were around the docks and bridges in the ICW. Tarpon were in the inlets and shrimp are showing up.

In Freshwater, bass seemed to be holding in the grass beds. Swim baits were producing good results.
