The Fish Grip

For the past five or six years I have been using an EconoLipper(now sold as the EconoScale) fish grip on my kayak. Like my reels the EconoLipper required constant TLC because I fish saltwater on my kayak. The EconoLipper is a quality tool but I may have forgot to rinse it in fresh water and spray the innards with WD40 last November. When I went to use it in January the mechanism was frozen. I was able to get it working by soaking it in fresh water for a few hours and spraying it with WD40. I will bring the EconoLipper back to NY to use on my boat. I have been looking at The Fish Grip for a while. I bought one because it has only a few stainless steel pins and it is extremely low maintenance. The Fish Grip is perfect for the kayak fishing and for surf fishing. When your done fishing you just rinse it off and put it away.
The Fish Grip is similar in design to a pair of water pump pliers, grip to lock and flip to open. When it's locked the fish is held firmly by the lower jaw and won't come off. The Fish Grip floats so there is no need to attach it to a retractable leash. It comes with a wrist lanyard just in case it slips while griping the fish. The Fish Grip only weighs five oz and comes in six colors. The Fish Grip is Made In The USA by United Plastic Molders.
The Fish Grip is only $14.95 and is available at most tackle shops. For more information and to check out the colors visit The Fish Grip at //
