Southeast Florida Fishing Report ? Week 4? October 2012Offshore on the troll, the weather from TS Sandy made getting offshore difficult. Those that did get out found Dorado, Kingfish, Sailfish and BFT were in 80-250 feet. Ballyhoo, Live baits and strip baits worked well.On the reefs and wrecks, Yellowtail, Mutton and Mangrove Snapper, scattered Kingfish, Jacks, Grouper and Bonito were in 40-120 feet. Cut baits sardines and mullet worked well.Near shore, along the beaches, piers, inlets and the Intracoastal Waterway, Mullet were still along the beaches. Spanish mackerel, Blue Runners, Blue fish, Jacks and Snappers took cut baits, mullet and artificials. Snook action was good around docks, bridges.In freshwater lakes produced well. The water level is staying high. Bass are deeper into the grasses. Clear water produced the best numbers.
