Southeast Florida Fishing Report ? Week 3? October 2012Offshore on the troll, Dorado, and BFT were in 125-450 feet. Dorado bites came around flotsam, weeds and birds. Kingfish and Cobia were scattered in 80-200 feet. Ballyhoo and strip baits worked well. Sailfish were taking live baits.On the reefs and wrecks, Yellowtail and Mangrove Snapper, Kingfish, Triggerfish, Jacks, Grouper and Bonito were in 60-180 feet. Cut baits worked well.Near shore, along the beaches, piers, inlets and the Intracoastal Waterway, bait was plentiful with mullet along the beaches. Spanish mackerel, Blue Runners, Blue fish, Snappers, and Jacks, with cut baits, mullet and artificials producing well. Snook action was good around docks, bridges and in the inlets.In freshwater lakes produced well. The water level remained high as bass moved deeper into the grasses. Many stayed around the grass edges taking Live shiners, swim baits, and other artificials.Tight Lines, Bent Poles, and Screaming Drags!!!Stay Salty My Friends!!!!
