This is a yellow rod that will win your heart over … the new Victory Carbon Rods by Wright & McGill designed by Skeet Reese.

When holding one of these new rods you will notice how light they fell. The more you handle them the more they fell like the rods were custom made just for you. Handles on both the casting and spinning models were designed for comfort and sensitivity. The blank is super sensitive and able to translate the most subtle strikes.

The rods were put to the test. The drop-shot spinning rod was used for trout fishing and bass fishing with drop-shot rig, shad rap and wacky-rigged trick worms. It performed like a champ.

The casting rod used was a 7-foot, 4-inch worm/jig rod. I used varies baits from blade jigs, jigs, Texas-rigged plastics and even some swim baits. The rod performs great and I would have no problems using it with other baits.

It has a great tip action and some serious back bone to it. On several occasions I turned up the heat on a few hook sets in heavy cover that would have broken most rods. Again it performed better than expected.
