RBFF at ICAST
The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced the organization will exhibit at this year's International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades show (ICAST), being held July 14 - 16, 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev. RBFF staff will be available to discuss exciting opportunities for getting involved with its award-winning national Take Me Fishing campaign. RBFF will also release new research that provides detailed information on fishing and boating participation by gender, age, ethnicity, income, education and geographic region.
"Over the past year we've seen some promising new trends and increases in participation," said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. "With TakeMeFishing.org attracting four million visits last year and Take Me Fishing social media outreach, lapsed angler recruitment efforts and youth education programs growing substantially, we know we're on the right path to increase fishing tackle, boating accessories and fishing license sales, which will help protect the legacy of the sport for generations to come."
The Take Me Fishing campaign reaches anglers and boaters of all ages and experience levels with advertising, marketing and public relations. The campaign generates more than 400 million consumer impressions annually and its website,TakeMeFishing.org, receives four million visits each year. The site's social network "Fishington" hosts more than 76,000 members and more than 200,000 avid anglers have signed on to introduce newcomers to the sport through the campaign's Anglers' Legacy program.
RBFF representatives will be located at Booth #2340 during show hours to discuss program updates. On-site contact: RBFF Fishing and Boating Outreach Manager Jeff Aitken, (202) 352-2918.
