Boater Brandon Mosley of Choctaw, Okla., won the Walmart BFL tournament title on Broken Bow Lake with a 17-pound, 3-ounce catch. Mosley won a first-place award of $4,796 at the Okie Division event.

Boater Brandon Mosley of Choctaw, Okla., caught a five-bass limit weighing 17 pounds, 3 ounces March 12to win $4,796 in the BFL Okie Division tournament on Broken Bow.


The remaining top-10 boaters from the event included:

  • 2nd: Mitch McClain, Broken Arrow, Okla., five bass, 12-10, $2,398
  • 3rd: Rick Kelley, Ada, Okla., five bass, 11-15, $1,595
  • 4th: Joe Benham, Stigler, Okla., four bass, 11-5, $1,119
  • 5th: Ben Blaschke, Booneville, Ark., five bass, 11-1, $959
  • 6th: Travis McKelvey, Jenks, Okla., five bass, 10-5, $879
  • 7th: Mark Ladd, Greenwood, Ark., five bass, 10-4, $799
  • 8th: Ron Shaw, Moore, Okla., five bass, 10, $719
  • 9th: Dean Krambeck, Newalla, Okla., five bass, 9-14, $639
  • 10th: Earl Clinton, Stilwell, Okla., two bass, 9-9, $560

Berry, Slaton tie for first place in Co-angler Division

Kevin Berry of Gentry Ark., caught a five-bass limit weighing 8 pounds, 5 ounces to tie Charlie Slatonof Valliant, Okla., who caught three bass weighing 8 pounds, 5 ounces March 12 to win $1,770 each in the Co-angler Division.

The remaining top-10 co-anglers in the event included:


  • 3rd: Mark Johnson, Henryetta, Okla., four bass, 7-11, $787
  • 4th: Patrick Weir, Broken Arrow, Okla., three bass, 7-10, $551
  • 5th: Chuck Nelson, Elmore City, Okla., five bass, 6-7, $472
  • 6th: Martin Shearwood, Stigler, Okla., five bass, 6-5, $433
  • 7th: Thomas Carper, Millerton, Okla., five bass, 6-3, $393
  • 8th: Kenny Blackwood, Rogers, Ark, five bass, 6-1, $354
  • 9th: Kerry Dake, Inola, Okla., five bass, 6, $315
  • 10th: James Marion, Tulsa, Okla., three bass, 5-14, $261

The next BFL Okie Division tournament is scheduled for April 2 on Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, Okla. After the fifth Okie Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Nov. 3-5 Regional Championship on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Ark. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard.
