Nick J. Prvonozac started the ABA Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series Ohio Division 20 season with a big win on Rocky Fork Lake.

Running out of East Shore Marina near Hillsboro on March 31, 2012, the 39-year-old angler from Warren, Ohio, caught five bass weighing 18.21 pounds. In all, he caught about nine keepers, but anchored his catch with a 4.16-pound kicker to take home $2,255 for the Boater Division victory.

?This was the first time I?d ever fished this lake,? Prvonozac said. ?I fished a couple days in practice and I caught a few fish by a beaver dam. In the tournament, I mainly focused on wood or grassy cover in coves and off secondary points. I used a Yum Vibra King and a Yum Wooly Bug worked slowly around the cover.?

In second for the boaters, Tim E. Partin of Springboro, Ohio, brought in a five-bass tournament limit weighing 10.61 pounds on a cool, cloudy day. He capped his catch with a 3.43-pounder.

James Jacobus of Johnstown, Ohio, finished third among the boaters with five bass going 10.30 pounds. Mike Lockhart of Mineral Wells, W. Va., followed with five bass and 9.12 pounds including one 4-pounder. Tyler ?Ty? T. Berger of Worthington, Ohio, rounded out the top five boaters with five bass and 8.49 pounds. Shawn Kellough of Chillicothe, Ohio, landed the tournament big bass title with a 4.70-pounder.
