Lane Cruises to Victory on Mississippi River
Dorsey Lane of Muscatine, Iowa is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a first place win and $281.00 in the American Fishing Tour bass tournament held on Mississippi River this past weekend. Lane?s 5 bass limit weighed in at 9.55. Second place went to Bob Mindock with a weight of 7.99, and third place was Mike Blaesi with a weight of 6.56. The tournament's Big Bass was awarded was to Gene Leppert for catching a 2.84 pound large mouth.
These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in the division?s two-day championship and the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall. Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.

Winning Strategy: Dorsey located a limit of fish in a back water area in the south end of the pool using Salt Craws.
Next Divisional Tournament: This division?s next tournament will be July 16 and 17 on Mississippi River Pool 10 at Bussey Lake.
