For Jack Link's Major League Fishing pro Kevin VanDam , there are few things in the world that are better than getting on the water for a day of competition.
From his unparalleled success on the Bassmaster Elite Series Tour to his runaway Major League Fishing Summit Cup win in Alpena a couple of years ago, a love for bass fishing and a love for competition have driven KVD to the top of the professional angling game.
The question that many have – from weekend warriors, like myself, to the pros VanDam competes against week in and week out each year – is how does he do it?
How has the man from Kalamazoo, Mich., won a staggering seven BASS Angler-of-the-Year titles, an FLW Tour Angler-of-the-Year title, four Bassmaster Classic Championships, 20 career BASS wins, more than 100 Top-10 finishes, and more than $6 million in career earnings?
