Kingston Canadian Open of Fishing Ready to Go
The City of Kingston will once again host The Canadian Open of Fishing on July 21, 22 & 23 to raise money for Soldier On, an organization that assists injured or ill Canadian Forces personnel.
The Canadian Open of Fishing is a pro/am format which will pair a pro angler with a co-angler daily for a 3 day bass
tournament on Lake Ontario out of Kingston. This year?s top Pro will take home as much as $50,000 in cash, and this year?s winning non-boater will walk away with a Lund/Mercury boat package valued at $20,000.
The Canadian Open of Fishing will once again be hosted by the CSFL featuring pros from across Canada as well as celebrity anglers such as Bob Izumi and JP DeRose. Weigh-in Shows will be in Confederation Park at Kingston?s downtown waterfront on Thursday July 21st, Friday July 22nd and Saturday July 23rd at 3:00 pm each day.
The Canadian Open of Fishing?s ultimate goal is to raise money in support of injured or ill Canadian Forces personnel through the organization Soldier On. The Soldier On program, and the complementary Soldier On Fund, encourages ill and injured CF personnel to attain and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. It supports these personnel in increasing their independence, in developing new skills and in achieving goals.
A cheque will be presented to Soldier On Foundation during Saturday?s Weigh-in Show.
The Canadian Open of Fishing tournament will be run by the Competitive Sport Fishing League (CSFL). Phone: 905-640-2277; Fax: 905-640-2278; Email: email@example.com.
