Major League Fishing professionals offer these summer bass tips -- go deep, find shade and go early (or late)

It's going to be another hot one, and don't those days always seem to line up with the days you're able to go bass fishing?

We asked Major League Fishing professionals Cody Meyer, Jason Lambert, Michael Neal, Randy Howell and Marty Robinson for their tips to help you catch more bass during the hottest time of the year.

One thing is clear: bass don't like the hot weather either and that means they can be more difficult to catch.

The pros say you need to consider three things for successful summertime bass fishing -- go deep, find shade and avoid the middle of the day.

Check out what else they had to say below.

1. GO DEEP

"Get off the bank. Get offshore," Jason Lambert says. "When it gets hot, those fish are going to live deep and that's where you're going to catch them."

2. FIND SHADE

"They don't like to be out in the hot sun, just like we don't really like to be out in it," Randy Howell said.

3. GO EARLY (OR LATE)

"The peak feeding times are in the mornings and the evenings in the summertime," Marty Robinson said.
