I Hate Winter

I Hate Winter
I was working on a new blog for today but I ran out of time to finish it. Between my new job (albeit only part time), a major home project and now this latest snow I wasn't able to really work on it. Hopefully I will finish it in time for next Sunday.Anyway, The other day I drove past a few lakes that I fish and they are still frozen over. Bummer. The other day the temps hit the 40's and I got a little excited, thinking maybe...just maybe I could find a lake that I could at least fish from the shore. But then the temps dropped....again! So there goes that idea. Then i heard about the next snow. At first I heard up to 6". Then Friday night I heard 1" to 3". OK, still snow but a lot more manageable then 6". My family and I were at the diner eating dinner last night and the snow was really coming down. I thought for sure we were going to get clobbered. I was bracing for the worst. Then as I was going to bed it had stopped and there wasn't really that much snow so I went to bed thinking the weatherman missed the mark again. Not so.I woke up Sunday and looked in the back yard. It looked to be about 3". OK, not too bad. I looked out the front window and saw up to 6" in spots. Not good. It's hard to tell how much we actually got due to the wind blowing the snow and creating drifts. But it looks to be between 4" and 5". UGH!!! And to make matters worse, it was VERY light and as I cleared the snow with the snow thrower, most of it was blowing back in my face. I wore my Buff that I wear in the summer fishing and it helped.I finally got done. Now its time for a nice hot shower, a cup of coffee then it's off to the tackle shop to buy some more fly tying material. I guess I will be stuck indoors for a while yet so I may as well tie a bunch of flies. Hopefully I will get to use them soon. I HATE WINTER!!!!!!!
