Gulf Oil Spill Educational Seminar

The IGFA is offering a Gulf Oil Spill Educational Seminar on June 7th. All commercial anglers, dive boat operators, charter boat operators, captains, crew members, marina owners, restaurant owners, hotel operators, and other waterfront property owners are invited to participate.


Discussion topics will include the economic and environmental effects of the recent oil spill on Florida's fishing and tourism industry. The seminars will feature presentations from Professor Arthur Mariano and Dr. Dave Kerstetter on the environmental impacts to the fisheries, prominent captains and fishermen in the community on the impact on Florida's charter fishing industry, and attorneys from Gord & Doner, P.A. to discuss the legal rights of those affected.

The seminars begin at 7:00 pm at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum. For more information visit www.igfa.org.
