Fishing Tip: Light Line and Jig Fishing

Fishing Tip: Light Line and Jig Fishing
I do a lot of light line and jig fishing and the one thing that is most disturbing is when the line gets loose in the reel, and poof you have a bird's nest. I learned over the years of fishing that when you cast, engage the reel when it hits the water, and then pull the line tightening up the spool. Then after that, it is about 1/2 way in pull the line again. This will eliminate alot of headache and frustration that may ruin your fishing trip. The other Tip is to just go back to the basics. Nothing beets a worm on a hook :-)
