'Good Morning' Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe for Camping

Keep your stomach full and satisfied before heading out on your adventure for the day with this easy recipe for a breakfast grilled cheese sandwich

Yield 1 sandwich
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

2 slices American cheese
2 eggs
2 slices bacon
2 slices white bread

Directions:

In a skillet, cook bacon over medium-low heat until crispy.
Pour off grease, leaving a small amount in the pan and remove bacon to a clean plate lined with paper towels. You can also pre-cook the bacon in the microwave at home to save some time while camping. To do that, lay slices of bacon side-by-side on a paper towel lined, microwave-safe plate, and cook on high for 4-5 minutes, or until bacon reaches the desired texture.
In the same skillet, melt a small amount of butter to coat.
Crack two eggs into the skillet.
Fry the eggs for approximately 2 minutes over medium heat, then flip and repeat.
Remove the eggs to a clean plate.
In the same skillet, melt a small amount of butter, then add one slice of bread.
Stack the bread with two eggs, bacon, two slices of cheese, and top with a second slice of bread.
Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown. Flip and repeat.
Once both sides are golden brown and the cheese has begun to melt, remove from heat, and enjoy!
