Fishing School Inspires, Educates Young Anglers
Little Lunkers Fishing School is striving to be the first true fishing youth program created, planned, and administered by professional educators invested in helping our youth develop the skills, attitude, and desire to be their very best through a passion that can last a lifetime.
Little Lunkers Fishing School is an educational-based, engaging program designed to inspire and inform youth interested in learning how to become effective anglers. We will focus on providing a range of well-developed, tested curriculum that is appealing to students from kindergarten to high-school age. Our committed mantra consistently revolves around "People Helping People," giving families a way for children to interact with their parents and community while helping the fishing industry and other forward thinking industry partners connect with these families in a meaningful way.
Little Lunkers Fishing School was established in 2008 by Chad Leton and David Risch, both elementary school educators with combined 20 years of teaching experience. Located in the "Lake Country" region of Southeastern, Wisconsin Little Lunkers has grown to have charters in 5 different communities in 2011.
Leton and Risch welcome the opportunity to help other communities establish curriculum and programs in a unique community building fashion. We've enjoyed working collaboratively with Parks and Recreation Directors, Summer School Administrators, and Community Partners/Sponsors to uniquely establish each of our current programs.
We are always looking for new opportunities and fellow educators with a passion for teaching and fishing to help grown the sport in an exciting manner!
