Fishing Eastern Ontario

Fishing Eastern Ontario
The other day I took out my boat. Just purchased a 14ft Canot Grand Mere that has been converted into a bass boat.  I was going after some pike using a Cotton Cordell Super Spot with the Gold body and Black back. Anywhere I have ever fished this lure has been with me. But when I got on the water the was throwing the Super Spot off of submerged points about twenty feet down and all I was catching was bass after bass after bass. So I move to so weeds. Should be good pike territory as the weeds are right beside 30 40 feet of water and the weeds are on ten feet deep. However again no matter where I cast all I have are bass after bass after bass. Now I'm not complaining but bass is out of season and a guy catching lots of them it doesn't exactly look good. So I decide to go to the area where the lake usually holds bass. A bay thats 5 feet deep and full of lily pads and fallen timber. Sure enough I find the pike and catch 7-8 in about an hour and a half. Nothing over two pounds but still a good fight no matter how big. All in all it was a great day fishing.
