Fishin' For A Cure Buddy Bass Tournament
Anglers and families can have a day of fun Saturday while helping fight childhood cancer during the Fishin' For a Cure buddy bass tournament on Table Rock Lake.
Proceeds will benefit St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital. The event is being put on by KTTS, Central Pro-Am and K.A.S.T.
First, for serious anglers: Central Pro-Am & KTTS will host a Buddy Bass tournament and the cost per boat/team is $170, with an optional $20 big bass entry. Payout is 70 percent, with the remainder to St. Jude. Fishing begins at 7 a.m. and check-in is 3 p.m. Each angler will receive the official "Fishin' for a Cure" tee-shirt and be entered for a draw prize.
Second, for families: K.A.S.T. & KTTS will host a flurry of fun including panfishing from the banks of the lake, where kids can win rods, reels and more. There will be games around the marina including a casting contest, treats and other fun events. The family events are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Anglers can pre-register at the Central Pro Am office, located at 220 Branson Hills Pkwy., (inside the First Stop Convenience Store) or by calling Kris at (417) 335-5075. Registration at the ramp on tournament day is 5-6:30 a.m.
