Father's Day 2012 with fond fishing memories!
My father taught me the love of fishing as a youth.  He would take me on fishing trips in many fresh water rivers and creeks near the Georgia coast.  As I grew older, we both got into the
saltwater scene and did not fish so much in the fresh water anymore.  We ventured
offshore for snapper, grouper, sea bass, and all other saltwater fish in off the Georgia
coast.  Inshore fishing was for trout, spottail bass, sheepshead and whiting.  We would
camp on hammocks on weekends over the years.  My father lived from 1914-2003, and was
my lifelong hero.  He is sadly missed every day by me and my family, but the fond memories
will be with me as long as I walk the beaches and shorelines of the Georgia Coast.
